About Larry Hunt
Larry Hunt is Past Chairman of the National Association of Quick
Printers and founder of the NAQP High Speed Copier and Color
Copier Users Groups. Larry has been the successful owner and
operator of four quick print shops since 1973. He is currently
President of Larry Hunt Publications, a company that publishes
monthly newsletters entitled "Larry Hunt's Color Copy
News" and "Larry Hunt's High Speed Copy News".
He is also an industry consultant and popular speaker.
Mr.
Hunt was honored by NAQP as their 1983 "Quick Printer of the
Year". In 1986, he was presented an Award of Excellence by
the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) and he was named
Quick Printing Magazine's "1990 Man of the Year". He is author
of 4 books:
- "How
Much is Your Printing Business Worth?" (1982)
- "Keys
to Successful Quick Printing" (1988)
- "Pricing
for Profit in Quick Printing" (1990)
- "Productivity
- Improve it or Else!" (1991)
Larry
received a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University and
an M.B.A. in Marketing from Pacific Lutheran University.
Newsletter
Background
The
Color Copy News started in July 1991. The High Speed Copy
News started in January 1992. Both newsletters concentrate
on information from subscribers such as:
- "Street
Prices" on all popular models - this is "must have" information
when negotiating to buy new equipment.
- Field
Performance reports from actual copier users
- Results
of user surveys regarding: average copy volume, copies between
service calls, machine performance ratings, average selling
prices and much more.
- Management
information to help in making good profits in copying.
- Timely
information about new copiers.
